Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 26, 2026
This policy explains what information FightFund collects, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Overview
FightFund is operated by FightFund Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our crowdfunding platform. By using FightFund you agree to this policy, our Terms of Service, and our Cookie Policy.
2. Information we collect
Account & profile: name, email, phone number, and (for organizers) verification details such as legal name and payout information.
Identity verification: when organizers complete identity verification (KYC), Stripe collects and processes government-ID and related information on our behalf through Stripe Identity. FightFund receives only the verification status and limited verified outputs — we do not store copies of your ID document images.
Donation information: donation amount, optional message, visibility preference, and email for your receipt.
Usage & device: pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, browser and device information, and cookies or similar technologies.
3. Payment information
Payments and identity verification are processed by Stripe. FightFund does not collect or store full card numbers, bank credentials, or ID document images. Your payment and identity details are handled directly by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy.
4. How we use information
We use information to operate the platform, process donations and payouts, verify organizer identity, issue receipts, review campaigns for trust and safety, provide customer support, send transactional and service emails, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve our services.
5. How we share information
Service providers: we share information with providers who help us operate FightFund, including Stripe (payments, payouts, and identity verification), Resend (transactional email), and our hosting and analytics providers.
Organizers: when you donate, the organizer may see your name, amount, and message according to the visibility option you choose at checkout. Choosing "anonymous" or "hidden" limits what is shown publicly.
Legal: we may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of FightFund, our users, or the public. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and understand how campaigns perform. For details and your choices, see our Cookie Policy. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect functionality.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Donation and receipt records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.
8. Your privacy rights
You may access or update your account information, unsubscribe from non-essential emails, and request deletion of your account subject to legal retention requirements. To exercise any right below, email help@fightfund.com; we will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents may request to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, request deletion or correction, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. As stated above, we do not sell or share your personal information.
Other U.S. states (e.g., Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah): residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal data, and to appeal a denied request.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), httpOnly session cookies, and a Content-Security-Policy. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
FightFund is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
